Our first EKBPA meeting of the year was held at Regions Bank on Magnolia Avenue, where attendees were treated to an informative presentation about the Grand De Flora project. The team behind the project discussed the transformation of the historic Knoxville Baptist Tabernacle into a new community hub, Grand De Flora, which is set to enrich the local cultural and social landscape.

Allie Welch, the speaker from Grand De Flora, provided insights into the construction progress and shared the expected timeline for the venue’s opening. She also introduced the venue’s key features, including Harmony Hall for larger gatherings and Sweet Audrey’s for more intimate events, all designed with a vibrant flair reminiscent of New Orleans.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Lawson Family Foundation for providing a delicious breakfast, which made the morning even more enjoyable.

Important upcoming community dates were announced, focusing on local engagement and growth, including the MLK Jr Commemorative Commissions events and new initiatives by the Real Good Kitchen Foundation.
