EKBPA 2024 Impact Report: A Year of Progress and Community Connection

As we close out 2024, we are proud to reflect on a year filled with growth, collaboration, and meaningful impact in East Knoxville. The East Knoxville Business and Professional Association (EKBPA) has continued to foster connections, uplift local businesses, and invest in the future of our vibrant community. Here are some highlights from our 2024 journey:

Strengthening Our Community

This year, EKBPA experienced a 13.73% growth in membership, a testament to the power of working together. Through our monthly meetings, we provided a platform for fellowship, professional networking, and impactful discussions, all paired with delicious breakfasts sponsored by local businesses.

Making a Difference

Our commitment to education and community support shined brighter than ever in 2024:

  • Austin-East Scholarship: We awarded a $1,500 scholarship to Tylan Baker, a deserving Austin-East senior, as part of our dedication to empowering the next generation.
  • Educational Partnerships: Partnering with One Book Read City, we provided books to elementary schools in East Knoxville, encouraging literacy and a love for learning.
  • Support for Educators: Hundreds of Knox County Schools Region 5 educators received snacks to fuel their important work, alongside donations of books to four East Knoxville schools through The Bottom bookstore.
